Women across Atlantic Canada are innovative and entrepreneurial, yet they continue to face structural barriers to economic participation and business growth. Women-owned businesses remain underrepresented in high-growth sectors, and many women—particularly newcomers, racialized women, rural women, and career returners—lack access to mentorship, professional networks, capital, and digital skills needed to compete in a rapidly evolving economy.

The Women’s Education & Entrepreneurship (WEE) Initiative equips women in Atlantic Canada with practical digital marketing, AI-enabled tools, and business development skills, supported by mentorship, peer learning, and community-based networks. Through WEE, participants gain the confidence, capabilities, and connections needed to launch sustainable ventures, strengthen existing businesses, or transition into income-generating opportunities.

Our goal is to support women across Atlantic Canada to build resilient careers and enterprises, contribute to local economies, and access long-term pathways to economic independence and leadership.
